  My husband and I were out of the country for over two years. Before we left Canada, Mundo was one of our favorite places for a local high end meal. What a shock when we went back for the first time after our return to the neighborhood! First impression: the place looked sooo run down. ALL the dark brown chairs had bear spots in several places where the vinyl finish pulled away from the light color backing, leaving the restaurant with an air of yearning for better days. Even the wine list was so worn around the edges, it looked to be more at home in an antique book shop.
  The service was spotty with large gaps at the start before our very able waiter, Jonathon, saved the day. It seemed he wasn't even normally assigned to our table but gave us excellent service. That is, until he was pulled away to serve a large group of 20+ and was pulled In too many directions - not his fault!
  We finally had to flag another staff member down to get our bill. The food was good but felt to be a shadow of its former glory. I hope they can rebound. There is a lack of quality eateries on the West Island. We can't afford to lose another one!

  Always excellent. Best price for meal deal in the west Island. Always top quality food and it starts with a great smell as you walk in.
